Prospective real estate agents must complete 3 courses for a total of 135 study hours. Each successfully completed course is equivalent to 45 hours. You must pass the final exam for each course to receive credit for that course.
Students are required to take Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice, and an elective course. We offer Real Estate Legal Aspect for the elective course because of its applicability to the state licensing exam.
Students who have received credit from a community college or university for Business Law or Accounting can use this credit as a substitute for not taking the Legal Aspects of Real Estate course. Please call our office to see if your course qualifies as a substitute to the elective course.

If you are enrolled in the class, you’re in for a fun ride. You are on your way to getting your real estate license. As soon as you enroll in one of our classes, login into the student dashboard either through the login on the homepage or through the welcome email you will have received after purchase. After 18 days, students are eligible to take a final exam if they have completed all 15-chapter quizzes with a passing grade. Students must take every quiz and pass a final exam. The 18-day minimum period for a class begins when a student starts a course. Students will have course access to the student dashboard for 12 months after the purchase.
The state of California requires students to be enrolled in each class for a minimum of 18 days. This means a student wouldn’t be able to take two classes within an 18 day period. They must first pass a course by getting a minimum score on a final exam and then move onto the next. On the 18’th day after a student has started a course, they can take the course final exam.
After enrollment you will have one-year full course access. You can finish a course within 18 days of enrollment. After passing the course, you will still have course access for a year. We recommend getting a physical textbook if you want to have a book to reference to in the future.
Your progress is always tracked. After logging off or taking a break, the system will take you back to where you left off last. During a final however, you must complete the test in one session as it is a 3 hour final exam duration.
Students must take a minimum of 3 courses. The two required courses include Real Estate Practice and Real Estate Principles, and the third is an election, of which we offer Real Estate Legal Aspects. After you take 3 courses, and successfully pass all final exams, you will get a certificate of completion from our school and submit this to the Real Estate Department as proof of satisfactory learning. Within 5 business of passing your final exam, you will be given a copy of your certificate of completion of the 3 courses.
Once you pass all 3 courses, we will give you a certificate of completion. This certificate acts as proof that you have learned the minimum requirements to become an agent and have successfully completed the required courses which we offer. Once you receive your certificate, complete the DRE’s real estate agent application. Once you have gathered all the required documents, submit the documents noted on the real estate agent application along with payment. Within a few weeks the Department of Real Estate will give you test date options. Choose a test date that works for you and if you pass, you’ll have your real estate license.
